Between the fences (Last Enterococcus Antibiotic Drug Susceptible)
by Roy John Wheelock

Between the fences. Between the lines.
Looks like we’re just, marking time
Between the fences. In between the lines.

Now we still have cancer and heart disease.
HIV, AIDS, soon to be LEADS
and what’s to become of me?

Between the fences. Between the lines.
Looks like we’re just, marking time
Between the fences. In between the lines.

To work amongst poor suffering souls
whose very life makes blood run cold
whose cry out in the middle of the night
‘gainst harsh tones of bathroom light
down to the bones the pain they fight
And in those lives uptight delight

why not me Lord, why not me?
Please not me Lord! Please not me!

Between the fences. Between the lines.
Looks like we’re just, marking time
Between the fences.

In between the lines.

17-12-12 You can’t get too serious about the violin. LOL

Looking up words i don’t know that well what they mean I now have

detache and other sustained bow strokes

another way of looking at it is “we gonna martele”  in kind of a cajun kind of  way

bow strokes

the next thing after pondering  where it came from is to ponder how to write it down or how to preserve it – of course now we have recordings but most of the musicians i played with growing up used words with chords over them
and the rest of the details were picked up or improvised from what they heard
on the recordings
